SQL
Description: Sets the structured query language (SQL) statement for the Master View of your Database Report application. Once you enter an SQL statement, you can then use the Format Property to format each record returned from the SQL statement (the result set.) Once you set the SQL and Format Properties, click the "Refresh" button to run the SQL statement live over the Net and see the result set at the bottom of the page. Note: You may have to scroll down to see the result set.

Example: SELECT * FROM Employees
Back

Format
Description: Sets the format for each record returned from the SQL statement (the result set). You can enter text, HTML, and database table field references (variables) to get the exact format you need. You can reference database table fields by the order which they appear in the database table, (e.g., $Field1, $Field2, $Field3, etc.) Tip - you can have your Form display the current values by referencing the field name in the value attribute, (i.e, <INPUT TYPE=TEXT NAME=FieldName VALUE=$Field1>). This is useful for creating record update Form applications.

Example: First Name: $Field1 Last Name: $Field2 Email Address: $Field3, $Field1

Header
Description: Sets the HTML and/or Text which will appear "above" the Master View of your Database Report Application. Creative use will enable you to go beyond simple HTML and text appearing above your application and enable you to embed an application anywhere on a Web page.

Example: Click on a record to see details.
